Heritage Work
Historyworks continues to undertake large numbers of heritage reports and property histories and provide design advice on historic houses, commercial premises and infrastructure in New South Wales. The most popular product is a Heritage Impact Report which many property-owners in Australia are required to provide to local planning authorities when they propose to alter or develop properties which are heritage listed or in conservation areas. Our reports are prepared in a standard format laid down by the New South Wales Heritage Office, with an additional section on Conservation Policy to guide owners on the appropriate management of their heritage properties. Our advice is that clients should approach us at design stage so that we can advise whether the proposal is likely to be compatible with heritage considerations and therefore likely to be approved by the planning authority.
Our Web Site
Our redesigned Web site reflects a restructuring of our activities in response to the huge demand for our heritage services. Note that, for ease of reference for users of our Product History page, our heritage reports are now listed chronologically under Government or Local Government administrative areas.
We still provide other history services, either ourselves or by project coordination using associate or sub-consultants.
